Thatto Heath Crusaders 102-6 Thornhill Trojans

I'm not sure what records tumbled in the carnage on Wednesday night but they must have been numerous.

Had Cheryl Baker been on hand she may have been able to confirm which records had been broken, either that or she could have put a stint in off the bench to sure up the Trojans defence.

Bizarrely Thornhill opened the scoring as a hopefully punt down field following a strong Heath defensive set took a wicked bounce away from Adam Walsh and into Trojan hands, from there they put together a string of speculative passes that ended up with centre Richard Bostock crashing over for a converted try.

This seem to focus the Crusaders on the task in hand and from then on the rout began. I'm not going to pretend I can recall all of the scores individually so you'll have to make do with a list of scorers.

Tries: Tries - Darren Woods (3), Chris Frodsham (3), Mark Beech (3), Shaun Quinn (2), Adam Walsh (2), Andrew Stott, Martin Shea, Dave Bates, Johnny Hughes, Keiron Maddocks.

Goals - Shaun Quinn (15/18)

As for the records that tumbled I am unsure but I will put forward a few close contenders.

Highest winning score/winning margin by a Thatto Heath Crusaders team.

Highest total points in a 24 game NCL season (928 with one game to go).

Most individual points in a single game by a Thatto Heath Crusader/NCL player (38 - Shaun Quinn)

Most tries by an individual in a NCL regular season (40 - Darren Woods).
